this friday night we are launching the fourth guitar trek cd entitled 'asturias: the spirit of spain'. no kidding. yes, the good folk at the abc have decided to unleash our fourth opus upon the unsuspecting cd buying/mp3 downloading public, and as the title suggests the disc features works by leading spanish composers, including turina, falla and albeniz. what the title does not suggest - however we're sure you'll be mighty chuffed to hear - is that the disc also features some humdingers by south american composers piazzolla, machado and bellinati. you can see the complete tracklisting and purchase multiple copies here

we are celebrating said release by giving a recital for the canberra international chamber music festival this friday 8th may, at albert hall which you'll find on commonwealth ave yarralumla in the australian capital territory. we do the business at 6pm

this weekend sees the premiere of a new concerto written for and dedicated to one daniel timothy mckay by the brilliant young composer timothy hansen. it's a super-exciting, dramatic, single movement work hot off the pencils - tim put the final touches on it mid august. a fantastic addition to the guitar's repertoire, which deserves to played a heap of times and make sr. hansen a pile of filthy lucre. these concerts will feature the canberra youth orchestra conducted by dom harvey. you can be a part of this historic event [!] by bustin' a move to

The National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, at 7pm, on either friday 19/09 or saturday 20/09 or both...tickets are only $15/10
