a big thanks to everyone in canberra who attended the recent duo 19 recital, great to see you all, antony and i look forward to returning with our debut cd.big thanks to messrs sloss, kain, le hoang, withers and the entire canberra classical guitar society for all their help in getting it happening

ant and i head back into the studio to finish it off in a couple of weeks with a view to having all audio completed by the end of 2011. the cd should hopefully be out through move records before the bounce of the 2012 afl season...the home and away season, not that silly pre season comp that starts in the hot months...

2012 concert season to be announced reasonably shortly. we are planning extensive touring to celebrate the release of the disc

last december antony field and i started work on our debut cd for move records. we are about to return to the studio for another session and are planning to have the cd out mid year. the album will feature works by nigel westlake, terry riley, mario castelnuovo-tedesco, phillip houghton and others. in other news i have begun working on a new solo work timothy hansen composed for me at the end of 2010 and i must say i am really looking forward to giving the premiere performance later this year

found a great lp at searchers records and books in smith st - alicia de larrocha playing all turina programme. awesome recording, sounds great on a rega/denon equipped thorens...and they only a wanted a lousy buck for it. also spinning warpaint's 'the fool' [thanks to joe at round and round] and shining's 'blackjazz' lps [thanks to jon p] - both released 2010, both worth a listen
